Develop@ML

Develop@ML is a professional development program offered by Macmillan Learning which gives employees an opportunity to upskill and enhance their professional skills for their current role or future promotions, learn more about leadership roles and expectations at Macmillan Learning, and join a cohort in an environment of peer learning. The program goals are to give employees opportunities to upskill and grow professionally and to learn and apply leadership qualities important for advancement at Macmillan Learning. Participants in the Develop@ML Program will: • Learn Effective Communication (clear, direct, empathetic communication style) • Gain Awareness of different styles of work and professional preferences to both self-advocate and adjust for better collaboration with others • Effectively leads and adds to productivity as participants in meetings • Handle difficult interpersonal situations through diplomacy • Has an understanding of the multiple groups involved in the process and timeline of creating a product at ML • Has a clear and realistic understanding of management roles • Make decisions that focus on high priority, high impact work through learning how to prioritize • Demonstrate leadership qualities (exerts influence without formal authority)
